Mayrock Art, a New York-based art advisory firm, assists both private and institutional clients in the strategic creation, development, and management of their collections. Company founder Marjorie H. Mayrock helps new and established collectors thoughtfully build their collections through the acquisition of exceptional works that have significant historic, aesthetic, and market value. She advocates for her client’s best interests and offers objective, personalized, in-depth analysis, a keen curatorial eye, and deep market knowledge both in the U.S. and abroad.

Mayrock Art advises on art acquisitions and site-specific commissions through a private, trusted international network in both the primary and secondary markets, which includes long-standing relationships with emerging and established artists, independent dealers, galleries, art fairs, artist studios, museums, and auction houses. Ms. Mayrock personally sources work and offers bespoke advice from a wide spectrum of the visual arts; including, but not limited to: paintings, works on paper, prints, sculpture, installations, photographs, and video. The firm provides extensive research while managing all aspects of art procurement and management, from the artwork selection and negotiation to logistics including shipping, framing, installation, storage, conservation, insurance, appraisals, museum loans, cataloging, and more.

Ms. Mayrock’s immense passion for fine art and architecture spans over a decade in the contemporary art field working at a number of leading blue-chip global art galleries, art fairs, and museums. She is currently serving as an independent art advisor in New York as the founder of Mayrock Art where she works directly with contemporary artists, collectors, and institutions through the entire lifecycle of artwork from the research and education phase through the acquisition and eventual management of works in a collection.

Ms. Mayrock is actively involved with arts education and acquisitions committees at several non-profit organizations, including the Bronx Museum of the Arts (Trustee); the Whitney Museum (Chair of the Artists Council); Swiss Institute (Education Council); the Guggenheim Museum (Young Collectors Council Acquisitions Committee); the Skowhegan Council, LongHouse Reserve, among others. She received her B.A. and M.A. at New York University where she studied the history of art, architecture, and Mandarin Chinese in New York, London, Shanghai, and Beijing as a Global Ambassador and Honors Scholar. She currently lives and works in Palm Beach, FL and New York, NY.
